Updating the internal software (also called firmware) in a DiCE unit is done via VIDA or the DiCE Firmware Update application. This assumes that the USB driver has been installed for the DiCE unit, see Installing the USB driver for DiCE. The DiCE unit has to be connected with a USB cable and 12 V feed. Ensure that the Firmware status LED is flashing green. There should be a sub level DiCE-206751 If you have another computer, you could install DiCE software only and test it, but the result would probably be the same. Hope you get it fixed/replaced. I did a system restore to a restore point when everything was working well but the system sill sees the Dice as Dice- 000000. So i think something on or within the dice has changed.
